High-Pressure Hose

Browse our extensive inventory of high-pressure hoses. We stock trusted, reliable brands such as Continental, Gates, and ProPulse.

If you need a custom length, we've got you covered. You can order hose in 50-foot increments ranging from 50 to 500 feet. Plus, we stock reels if you need to order in bulk. Reels are available with hose lengths ranging from 150 to 1000 feet. Purchasing bulk high-pressure hose helps you save money and create custom assemblies to fit the requirements of your equipment.

Many industries rely on high-pressure hoses to operate. This hose is used for car washes, pressure washing, industrial cleaning, hydraulic systems, and agricultural applications.

High-pressure hose conveys water, cleaning solutions, and hydraulic fluid. This type of hose is constructed to endure high pressure (PSI). Generally, a hose is considered high pressure if it can withstand a working pressure of 3,000 pounds per square inch (PSI) or more. We have a few options rated for less pressure because some industries consider those rated high pressure.

Some applications require heated water, and many hoses we carry are rated to endure hot and cold water. It is good practice to check the specifications before purchasing your hose to ensure it can withstand the fluid temperature required for the intended application.

Abrasion Resistance is Important for High-Pressure Hose

When ordering a high-pressure hose, you will need a hose with a heavy-duty cover constructed with an abrasion-resistant material since these hoses are dragged across abrasive surfaces like asphalt. The cover protects the inner tube from abrasion extending the life of the hose. If you like to create custom hose assemblies yourself, you will need crimp fittings to attach to each end of the hose. We even have versions that swivel to help prevent kinks and stress at the ends of your hose that fixed fittings experience. You might also want to consider purchasing crimp machine to install the fitting.

Key Features and Specifications:

  • Wire-Braid Construction: These hoses typically feature steel wire braid reinforcement. This reinforcement helps the hose resist the high internal pressure and prevent bursting.
  • Pressure Ratings: The pressure rating for a high-pressure hose specifies the maximum pressure it can safely withstand. This rating is essential for ensuring safe and effective operation.
  • Pressure Ratings: The pressure rating for a high-pressure hose specifies the maximum pressure it can safely withstand. This rating is essential for ensuring safe and effective operation. Some hoses may also have a working pressure rating. This indicates the pressure the hose can endure continuously. If a hose has a working pressure rating, it will also have a maximum pressure rating. The maximum pressure rating refers to the highest pressure the hose can tolerate briefly during a pressure spike.
  • Temperature Rating: Many hoses have a temperature rating, particularly for applications involving hot water or chemicals. This rating indicates the maximum and minimum temperatures the hose can safely handle without compromising its integrity.
  • Material: The hose's inner tube and outer cover are typically made from materials resistant to abrasion, chemicals, and high temperatures. Common materials include rubber, polyurethane, and synthetic rubber.
  • Couplings and Fittings: High-pressure hoses include couplings and fittings that connect it to equipment. You will need to know the connections on your machine to ensure you purchase a compatible hose. Some do not include coupling or fittings. This is so you can make custom hose assemblies that fit your equipment.
  • Length: Hoses are available in various lengths so you can pick one that best fits your application. However, be aware that longer hoses may experience pressure loss due to the increased distance the fluid must travel.

Common Applications:

  • Pressure Washing: Used to clean surfaces like concrete, decks, and vehicles with high-pressure water. Also used for sewer jetting applications too.
  • Car Wash/Detailing/Automotive: Cleaning vehicles, engines, and equipment
  • Hydraulic Systems: Used to transport hydraulic fluids in machinery and equipment
  • Construction: Cleaning construction equipment, machinery, and job sites
  • Manufacturing: Cleaning industrial equipment, machinery, and facilities
  • Food Processing: Cleaning food processing equipment, machinery, and facilities
  • Marine: Cleaning boats, ships, and marine equipment
  • Agriculture: Cleaning farm equipment, machinery, and facilities. Plus, spraying pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
  • Hospitality: Cleaning outdoor areas, such as patios, walkways, and parking lots
  • Government: Cleaning public facilities, such as parks, roads, and infrastructure

By understanding the key features, applications, and factors to consider when choosing a high-pressure hose, you can ensure that you select the right hose for your specific needs.
